Activity 3.3.1 Air Pollution Core Activity

Air pollution As society developed, so did harmful human activities increase in the environment. With the new standard of living, inventions like cars, air conditioning, and much more use up fossil fuels which pollute the air. Gaseous air pollutants also have a part of air pollution. It is inevitable and is broken down into the three following categories. Sulfur Pollutants  There are two major sulfur gasses. They're called Sulphur dioxide (SO2) and Hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The two together create sulfate. Volcanos give out both of these gasses and wildfires. Which are harmful to the environment being highly toxic to agriculture and animals. Due to sulfur being so dangerous, precautions are taken while utilizing the gasses. For example, coal washing removes the fuels. Freedman, B. (2018) Nitrogen Pollutants  Nitric oxide (NO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), nitrous oxide (N2O), and ammonia (NH3) are all gasses containing Nitrogen. The process of decomposition of dead biomass is t...

3.2.3.1 Solar Power and Energy Policy- Six-Point Critical Analysis of Current Event

Six-Point Critical Analysis of Current Event 1. Exploratory Probe basic facts and knowledge found in the reading. Georgia dedicated 500 acres of land for solar panels. There are more than 630,000 solar panels throughout the land. They say that they made this investment to grow renewable energy at an affordable price, while also having a positive impact on the community. The United States is known to be the second largest market for solar energy. Installing cost for solar has decreased more than 70%. The first solar project in Georgia 2013 was a success shorting the distance of supply lines. Helped businesses by being able to ship and receive supplies closer. Not only that but the tax revenue from this project is $8 million that will come back to the country.  2. Diagnostic Probe motives or causes .  Florida and Georgia are known for their heat. Solar energy is a renewable source that would be wise to use in those states. Georgia took that step by dedicating land to do ju...

Activity 3.2.3 – Alternative Energy- solar energy

Alternative Energy Alternative energy is a renewable energy source. It does not use fossil fuels, but instead uses natural resources on earth. It is not the most relied upon energy source because of its  limitations. Some examples of renewable resources are wind, solar, water, or biomass. Arguments About Alternative Energy Demand for energy is high although renewable resources are plentiful, non-renewable resources are used more. Can eliminate common problems non-renewable resources create like, oil spills or pipeline leaks. Unlike fossil fuels, it does not pollute air. Using alternative energy sources will improve human health and climate change. Solar energy  Solar energy is radiation from the sun that we use for heat and electricity. It is one of the prime factors on how we're alive and life on earth as well. Solar energy is a renewable source with pros and cons, like everything else.  Starting with some disadvantages of solar energy is Earth's rota...
