Activity 3.2.1 – Natural Resources Review
My chart is broken down in the order of the video. So natural resources, renewable resources, non-renewable resources, recycling and reuse, natural resource alternatives, and sustainability. They all follow with the question, what is it? I then write the definition, then below it is some examples. For the first one natural resources, I wrote down anything people use that is from the environment. An example I used was how humans use it like eating an apple. Then below that, I wrote natural resource examples like air and water. Renewable resource definition I just put that it can be replaced by nature. Then non-renewable resources cannot be replaced by nature. Some examples I put for renewable were wind and solar energy from the sun. I also added that just because it is renewable does not be it can't become scarce. I wrote down the example of cutting more trees faster than replacing them for them to grow. For non-renewable, I put the example of rocks and natural gas. Next to it, I put what makes a resource non-renewable is it will be gone forever or take a very long time to regenerate. Recycling and reusing are just what can be recycled and reused. Lastly, the last two bubbles were about sustainability and alternatives. I put the negatives like plastic being harmful. Then ending it with our goal to utilize resources efficiently and rationally. They are important and needed for our survival.
